The Bronx gives us some of the most underrated wedding backdrops in the city — the New York Botanical Garden's Conservatory and rose gardens, Wave Hill's Hudson view from Riverdale, the boardwalk at Pelham Bay, and the historic streetscape of Arthur Avenue's Little Italy. It's quieter than Manhattan and Brooklyn for portrait work, which is exactly the point.
In the Bronx we photograph weddings at the New York Botanical Garden — the Conservatory's glass house and the Rose Garden, with permits and timing coordinated through the NYBG events team — plus engagement sessions at Wave Hill in Riverdale, whose Hudson views and formal gardens see almost no foot traffic on weekday afternoons.

When is the light best in The Bronx?
The NYBG Rose Garden peaks in June and again in September. Wave Hill faces west over the Hudson, so late afternoon into sunset is its hour — and weekday slots there feel like a private garden.
